"Nikolskoe. Temple. Silence.", 2012, oil on canvas, 60 x 70 cm.
This
work is one of the series dedicated to the orthodox temples
of my
native region. It shows a bright scene with a temple over the river rising above the small houses. The sky is bright and stresses the temple. Though there are many houses around, the temple remains separate, calm and majestic and is in the center of the composition. This symbolizes the priority of spiritual values over the daily troubles.

"Svyatogorye. Winter. Temple of All Saints.", 2012, oil on canvas, 60 x 70 cm.
This work is one of the series dedicated to the orthodox temples
of my
native region. It shows a winter scene with a wooden church in warm colors and vivid decorative sky. The center of the composition aroynd the temple is stressed by the light and warm sky. The absence of details in the foreground draws more attention to the temple itself.
