This is my first pastel work. It shows a canal in Venice with a bridge, a boat and many bright spots.

This work shows the Grand Canal in Venice on a stormy day. It is the first of my works with Venice. The sky is dark here,but the buildings are light. There are some boats around, the green trees between the houses bring some life into the scene.

This work shows an afternoon in Venice. There is a bridge and a couple on it in the center of the composition. The background is warm and light. There are some blue boats in the channel.

This work shows a bright sunny day in Venice. The scene contains a  red bridge which forms the center of the composition, some boats in cold colors and colorful buildings. The architecture reflects in the water. The picture is full of sun and light.

 This work shows a canal in Venice. There is a contrast between the bright warm color of the water and the background, and the cold dark color of the buildings and boats. It is afternoon, the colors resemble the sunset.

This work shows a canal in a small Italian town of Burano. It's a very bright place, the houses are very colorful. There are some boats around, the buildings reflect in the water. The technique is dynamic and vivid.

 This work shows a bright street in Venice. The colors are mostly warm, the buildings reflect in the water. The openwork bridge holds the center of the scene. There are some boats on the sides of the canal. The background is lighter, that gives more space to the scene.

This work shows a cozy corner of Venice with some boats and laundry. It is summer, the sun is bright, but it's quiet. The reflections and the ripple make the scene alive.

 This work is one of the series dedicated to Venice. It shows a bright canal on a sunny day with a bridge. There is much sun in the scene, the bright buildings reflect in the water. The scene is quiet, but alive.

 This work shows the sailboats near the pier on a sunny summer day. The colors are bright, the sky and the mountains far away are vivid, the shadows are contrast. The nearest vessel forms the center of the composition.

This work shows a pier in the port Italian city of Trieste. There are boats in the center of the picture, the vertical lines create the dynamics.

This work shows Venice in pastel. The picture contains canal with a bridge. The colors closer to viewer are more tense and vivid, while further distance dissolves.

"Ice And Sun.", 2011, oil on hardboard, 70 x 50 cm.

This painting is about winter - frosty days, ice and bright sunsets. The picture shows a sunset over a river covered with pieces of ice, a pier and a city far away. The choice of colors is meant to show the cold winter atmosphere. The reflections in the water create the depth of the scene.

"Italy. Venice. Evening", 2012, oil on hardboard, 50 x 70 cm.

This work is a part of a series dedicated to bright streets of Italy. It shows an evening, a sunset in Venice. The scene is quiet, calm and beautiful. The bright colors remain, but do not catch too much attention.

"After The Sunset", 2009, oil on hardboard, 40 x 30 cm.

This is also one of my first works, it shows the bright sunset over the calm sea. The boats are swimming towards the sunset holding the center of the composition.

"Sun. Wind. Sails.", 2012, oil on hardboard, 50 x 50 cm. 

This work was meant to deliver the dynamics of the wind that moves light sails. It was made a little abstract to draw more attention to the forms. The work was made with palette-knife like most of my artworks.
